Atrial Septal Defect is a congenital heart defect where a hole exists in the atrial septum, the wall separating the right and left atria.
This hole allows oxygen-rich blood to mix with oxygen-poor blood, which can lead to:
1. Shortness of breath
2. Fatigue during physical activity
3. Heart palpitations
4. Enlargement of the heart
5. Risk of stroke in some cases
